If you want LER Web Services to help connect Mailchimp to your website, the first step is to invite us to your Mailchimp account at info@lerws.com. In Mailchimp, only the Owner or an Admin can send user invites, and integrations typically need Manager access or higher. For most clients, Admin is the simplest choice.
- Make sure you can log in to the correct Mailchimp account.
- Confirm you are the account Owner or an Admin, since those roles can send user invites.
- Have the invite email ready: info@lerws.com.
Log in to Mailchimp
Open Mailchimp and sign in to the account you want connected.
Open the Users page
Click your profile icon, then go to Account & billing. After that, click Settings and then Users.
Click Invite A User
On the Users page, click Invite A User to open the invite form.
Enter our email address
In the email field, type info@lerws.com.
Choose the access level
Select Admin. That is the easiest option for setup help. If you have a Premium Mailchimp plan and want to give slightly less access, Manager can also work for integrations, but Admin is the practical choice on most accounts.
Send the invite
Click Send Invite. Mailchimp will send the invitation to LER Web Services so we can accept it from there.
You're done
That completes the Mailchimp side. If needed later, you can return to the Users area to adjust access or remove access.
- Mailchimp access lets us accept the invite and prepare the connection on the account side.
- Your website or store access is often still required to install the app, plugin, block, or connection method.
- The exact next step depends on whether your site is Shopify, WordPress.com, WordPress.org, or WooCommerce.
If your website is Shopify
After the Mailchimp invite is accepted, open the Mailchimp for Shopify app page, click Get started, log in to your Shopify store, click Install, click Install app, log in to Mailchimp, and click Allow to connect everything.
If your website is WordPress
WordPress connections depend on the type of site you have. The most common paths are outlined below.
WordPress.com sites can use the Mailchimp block inside the WordPress editor. After the site is connected, the block can be added to a page or post.
Self-hosted WordPress.org sites can use a Mailchimp plugin, an embedded form, or a popup form. One simple route is a Mailchimp subscribe plugin that connects to your account, lets you choose the audience, and then places the signup form on the site.
If your WordPress site runs WooCommerce, install Mailchimp for WooCommerce, activate it, click Connect Account, log in to Mailchimp, and click Allow.
Mailchimp access is ready
Once the invite is sent, the Mailchimp side is open. From there, the remaining setup depends on the website platform and whatever website access is needed to complete the connection safely.
